Starting My Maddux Collection

Those of you that follow our blog know that I recently announced that I am collecting a few players.  Ryan Theriot, Ryan Dempster (in a Cubs uniform only to start), and Greg Maddux get the honor of being placed in binders and sought after in card shops and show floors.

Theriot and Dempster shouldn’t be all that difficult to collect.  There are only a relative handful of each player.  Maddux is going to be the challenge.  Counting 1 of 1’s and all the cards serial numbered under 50 that I won’t be collecting, he has a whopping 10,000+ different cards.  Here’s what I’m starting with.

1988 Topps #361
1989 Bowman #284
1989 Cubs Marathon #31
1989 Donruss #373
1989 Fleer #431

Obviously, I could use some help.  This is only 29 out of 10,559 (or 0.002746%)

So, if any of you have extra Maddi or Ryans to trade, let me know!

He's waiting for your call, ladies
