Recent Royals: 2010 Bowman Chrome David Lough Gold (X2)

I have very few card collections given my limited resources and space, but I did decide some time ago to begin collecting on-card Royals autographs. It’s been a blast so far trying to track these things down and this is the latest addition to my collection. To view the cards currently in the collection, take a look at the Gallery or the other posts in this series. I’m working on getting a legit want list together on my trade page but, in the meantime, if you have any on-card Royals autos that it looks like I don’t have, don’t hesitate to drop me a line!

I don't like the "Rookie Card" toploaders. How do you feel about them?

What order do you think they sign these in? Lowest numbered to highest seems the most reasonable.

When it rains, it pours. And, in this case, it’s raining gold.

I’ve been using a program called Quicksnipe to help me win my Royals autos at a reasonable price and sometimes I just plain forget what cards I already have and click that little “Quicksnipe It!” button before I can be bothered to look it up. And sometimes I just plain assume I’m not going to win a gold refractor of a not-terrible Royals prospect for $12. Of course, sometimes I win two.

I’ve got the base version of this card already and I’m actually envisioning the rainbow at some point. Sure, maybe not a Superfractor (the only -fractor I capitalize), but I could see landing an orange and, dare I say, a red at some point. But for now, I’ve got two of these and I’m not sure what to do with the extra. Sure, I could try to trade it, but I’m afraid none of our readers share my interest in all things Royals on-card, so he may have to go back on the ‘bay. In a weird twist of “never happens to me,” Mr. Lough here has been tearing it up in AAA since I wrote my first post on him. He may get the call up before Wil Myers (though his destiny may be as a backup) which would help me turn a little profit on this bad boy. All the more help towards that rainbow!

In all seriousness, if anyone wants this guy, let’s work out a trade for a Royals auto I don’t have or a stack of Stadium Club 1st Day Issues. I’d much rather work with our readers than randoms on eBay!

I don’t have any cards you would want for that card since I’m 12. But I’m looking to get my dad a Royals autographed card for Father’s Day. Maybe we could work out a deal?
