Well, here I am with another accidental addition to my burgeoning Royals on-card auto collection. This time it’s a heavy hitter, in every way.
George Brett, meet a bunch of scrubs.
This puppy- a 1998 Donruss Signatures George Brett- is numbered to only 2000 (!) and usually runs about $50. I got this shipped for $37. On accident, as I figured it would sell for its usual price. So now I’ve got a card I kind of have no business having at this stage in my financial life (technically unemployed/starting a new business) but is clearly the best card in my young collection. So I’m in a bit of a quandry over what to do with him. Any suggestions? I mean, there are ONLY 2000 of them!
In other news, we’ve entered Play At the Plate‘s awesome 500th Post Contest and you should too. It’s quite a milestone for one of our favorite blogs and we hope to read 500 more posts! Congrats!
I say keep it and sell some other cards to make up the difference.
