Welcome to part two of the July card auction explosion. I hope everyone enjoyed the first part. If you missed it, check out the link, because it was full of fun stuff including a rip card (spoiler!)
I’m going to keep the party going here and start off with another big card and end with a bigger one. July may have been my best month since I started doing these monthly updates.
I thought the dugout compartments were part of the design at first
Yeah, here’s another Bryant #/50 that I won for less than $5. Although this time it wasn’t because of Bunt Syndrome. It wasn’t poor labeling on the auction either. I just happened to get really lucky and found no competition for this gold refractor. I don’t get it, but I’m glad to have gotten it.
 Need more Contreras cards
I’m having fun going after these Big League cards. They’re kind of like the new Bunt in that they’re cheap and easy to get. I do want to go for a master set of the stuff, but need to actually break down and buy a box first.
Don’t see a lot of /100 cards these days
I’m pretty sure the set was brand new when I started winning these auctions. Great time to do it.
Most are /99 instead to add that extra level of special
Tough to see, but you can guess this is the rainbow foil version as well. Pretty good start in my parallel hunt, and I’m glad there are only a couple of numbered levels.
Green refractors are some of the best
Like the Inceptions from last post, I have a tough time knowing and remembering which Finest parallels I have.
2018 was the year of the slides in all sets, I guess
Let’s hope that this young prospect Lester can make it in the big leagues.
Need him back in the lineup
Slowly chipping away at the Heywards from 2018. Starting with the vintage stock, which are tougher to land for me this year. In fact, this might be the first one so far.
Kind of like a stage curtain
I think this is the first black parallel this year as well. They’re pretty recognizable, which is great. I think the parallels more than the design will help me remember which year it is.
 Don’t move the doom tracker
I showed the Rizzo last time. It’s Kyle’s turn today. I know more people won’t get this reference, but these remind me of the board game Eldritch Horror with the map look and the circle that is perfect for a gate leading to an elder god.
 Throwback cut up
I don’t bid on many relics and win fewer of them. I actually didn’t fully intend to win this auction. I bid on this and another player from the same seller thinking I was for sure going to win the other one and then this would be fine to add with combined shipping if it worked out. Well, this was the only one that made it’s way to me.
 Three more to go
You may be surprised that I didn’t have this Carlos Marmol already. In the earlier days, I was holding out to see if a version would appear that had his jersey number, because there are a lot of stickers signed that did. Maybe this was too early in his career since it is his first autograph and was likely still a prospect. With this addition, I’m down to needing only three more autographs – all of them are from the 2008 Stadium Club Beam Team set & parallels. Let me know if you have a lead on them.
Did not buy for the Expos, that’s just a bonus
Here’s the biggest acquisition of the month. Yes, another Tony Gwynn auto. I’m really enjoying picking these off here and there. Even though they’ve gone up in price overall since his passing, they’re still pretty cheap since he signed so much. In fact, there are a couple other co-signers I need to go for from this set, but this pairing is the most common I’ve seen. Finally found one that dropped to my range.
A couple of months ago, I showcased a trade with CubsFanStan where I sent him a few Sammy Sosa cards I had up on Sportlots and he gave me an assortment of good stuff.
Fast forward a little bit and Stan was opening packs on twitter, and a couple things peaked my interest. Not too long after that, I had a package in the mail with those cards and some other extras. It caught me a little off-guard as I didn’t know the envelope was coming, but I did eventually dig out some other Sosa cards to send back his way.
Rizzarper won’t be a thing even if Bryce signs with the Cubs
Normally I pick up at least a blaster of the new year’s stuff, but I never did that with 2018. Part of the reason is that trades have covered me well enough and I currently don’t need the extra trade bait (instead I need to sort the trade bait I do have and post it on the blog). Getting the Cubs are more common, but seeing the guys no longer with the team come through are great because it really helps me avoid buying packs.
I hope Soler can stay intact next year
I also got a few from 2017. I love that Coghlan picture. Sorry it’s not horizontal, but I’m trying to lump more cards together to make things easier on myself. It’s a little strange that it took this long to get that Arrieta card as I have a few of the parallels already.
I hope Fowler does well against every team except NL Central ones
How about my first look at 2018 Heritage? Another one where I usually buy a blaster, but in this case I just never made it out to the store. Maybe I’ll pick up a box if they’re cheap enough around black friday.
 I’m happy too, Anthony
A lot of firsts in this trade package. Rizzo is my first 2018 Bowman card. I’ve been enjoying the direction of Bowman the past couple years. I’m not sure I can tell the years apart yet, but it’s a start.
He would be on a few more All-Star teams
It’s not all new stuff. I also got this 1985 Gwynn glossy. I forget how these were distributed, but I want to say rack packs. It would be cool to see rack packs as we knew them again, but I know it’s a pipe dream.
 Came in a winning effort
According to the back, this 495 ft blast was the longest in his career. Of course, that’s assuming you A) trust the distance measuring process in general and B) most likely ignore the fact that different ballparks will measure using different methods.
I forgot he was with the Tigers
So these next two cards are the ones that I was interested in on twitter. I hate the look of the negative images – too creepy – but that doesn’t mean I don’t need it. And when talking about a pitcher that isn’t all that likely to show up in any card shop/show boxes, I’m pretty happy to snag this.
 Drowning by grape kool-aid
The last card is another first. This is the Toys R Us purple parallel. The first one of these from any year that I’ve ever added to my collection as far as I remember. Now that the company is out of business, it will be interesting to see if the purples show up anywhere in 2019.
Thanks again to Stan for another great trade! I don’t know if have more Sosa’s that you don’t have at this point, but maybe we’ll find a way to make a deal again sometime in the future!
June was very light since I was hardly in the country. July, I kind of spoiled myself a bit. After that rough month where all kinds of things were going wrong, I did a little retail auction therapy. It also helped that I had a bit of extra money since I had no extra expenses while I was away. Food was paid for by the company. I wasn’t buying anything else since I stayed at the office or the hotel the entire time, so I compensated by getting 24 cards over the course of the month.
That also means I’m expanding from my usual 9 or less policy to 12 for these two parts. I also figured I might as well start big with…
Still need 8 more 2017 Bunt Bryant cards
My Bunt quest continues and even though I had a little extra cash at my disposal, I still managed to get this for under $5 delivered. No one wants these except for me. The injury may have helped.
My first one of these so far
These green backs are supposedly limited to 50 copies as well, but they don’t have the numbering to prove it. The front is your run of the mill front but the back has a nice tint on it.
May the Schwarbs be with you
I’m usually able to pick up a couple of the insert parallels with each new release. The Stadium Club ones especially are not very visually different from each other, so they’re easier to pick off.
 No mistaking this parallel
I’m having a harder time getting the pinks and blues from 2018 than I did in 2017. I’m encountering more high starting bids or high BINs rather than the .99 cent auctions I rely on. Edwards finally got in range.
 Geode back
How about some more pink? I still try to call this Bowman Inception, but it’s not. I also find I have a tough time keeping track of which cards I have from this set.
 Different geode
One more pink and it’s Arrieta. Due to his frequent team switching, there’s less competition for his stuff.
 Same spectrum, lower number
That allows me to get cards like this orange version as well in the same month. These aren’t all that nice looking compared to the pink
 Don’t see a lot of /75 cards
I swear this is the Red version. You can see why it can be tough to keep track of what I have. It all blurs together.
The rare low numbered Maddux sighting
This is the fifth card with a print run at my limit of /50. I love adding these because it makes me feel like the rest of the product is smooth sailing downhill. Not really true, but it is like a weight off the shoulder.
 Admiring his own belly
Keeping it red, and keeping it 50. These Gold Label cards may be too confusing for a lot of people and that’s why I can get them. Seen one red, seen them all, but not realizing the classes are different numbers.
 That’s a sharp looking parallel
And again with the red and the 50. This was a bit of a surprise. Museum Collection looks nice this year. We’ll see more of it in part two.
 I choose the latter!
You start big, you end big. Or at least I did this time. This cost more than $5. Those that know me, know that this is an un-ripped copy of last year’s stuff. It will stay that way for as long as I will keep it.
This was a nicely timed present for myself. But the fun doesn’t end there. We’ll see another dozen fun cards soon!
I know I just posted the 11th installment of this a couple days ago, but I really do want to stay on top of this season as much as possible. I recognize that no one reads these posts anyway, so this is all about my own personal piece of mind. The division race is starting to heat up since the stupid Cardinals fired their stupid manager and started winning games again. So, it’s a three-way hunt with the Cubs in a pretty narrow lead and a little less than a month left. Dang, I hope we can get to the postseason again.
Six more wins will help. Stay over .500 the rest of the way and that will make their jobs harder.
 No longer a prospect
Win #65 – Baez – A regular member of this list, Javier went 2-4, with a solo HR, and a double, driving in 2 in the 3-1 win. This was the 2nd win for Cole Hamels in his 2nd start.
 /999
Win #66 – David Bote – I haven’t run the numbers, but I think Bote appears more than Bryant at this point. In this game he was 2-3, drew 1 walk, had 3 RBIs, including a 2-run triple in the first and a RBI single elsewhere. With this, he was batting .344 in 30 games.
Love the glow on the refractors sometimes
Win #67 – Heyward – Very light on offense, but luck was on our side. Jason was 1-4, but the 1 was the Cubs first hit which scored two runs to tie the game. To be more precise, it was a single after the Nationals walked the bases loaded. They walked in the winning run the next inning. The next game would be more heartbreaking for the Nats.
Gold #/539 – Just missing the base card
Win #68 – Bote – David appeared as a pinch hitter with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. The Cubs were down 3-0, down to the last strike. With the bases loaded, Bote hits the walk-off grand slam and continues his road to local favorite. Hamels was really solid with 9Ks but I had to give it to the moment everyone was talking about.
 From my box of DK
Win #69 – Rizzo – He’s had a decent second half after a terrible first. This day he was 2-4 with a walk. 3 RBIs, including a 2-run homer in the first that helped set the tone against the rival Brewers. And I do mean rival.
Got a bunch of refractors to post eventually
Win #70 – Lester – A close 1-0 game. Happ with the solo home run to win it offensively. Lester, however, returned to All-Star form, going 6 innings, with only 5 hits, no walks, no runs, and 8 Ks.
While I didn’t get a massive response to my trade bait posts (I do want to try again soon), I did come out of it with some success. I was also lucky enough to meet a couple new trade partners.
Of of those was John, known on the Trading Card Database as herkojerko (here’s his profile, should you be so inclined). He wanted some Phillies from my Hometown Heroes stash, and I was happy to oblige. In return, he sent me a nice assortment of goodies. Many of them were from the so called junk wax era, which is not a problem at all. I still need a lot of that stuff. Often times, it’s so prevalent that people may forget to even check those years. I know I’ve fallen into that trap.
Thankfully, John didn’t and so I have a few gaps filled. Today, we’re looking only at Tony Gwynn, but we’ll get to some other players in future posts.
 Waiting outside the dressing room
This guy certainly isn’t junk. I don’t recall ever seeing a Woolworth’s card before. We didn’t have any of those stores in our area growing up, and although some things from other regions made their way to the Rockford area, I don’t remember this. Gotta love the oddballs.
Fraction of a silver camera lens
This guy is hardly junk either. They’re plentiful, but the prestige of the set and the key rookies make a pack or a box worth more than your standard fare from 1990.
 Recycled design
Grab your partners, do si do.
No, man. We’re Tony Gwynn. We don’t need to bunt.
Another premium release from that period. It’s no surprise I didn’t have this one. Loved that Flair packaging.
 ……………..
I didn’t get a ton of 1993 Pinnacle, either. 1992, yes. Tons. 1993, my focus was shifting to basketball more and more.
 Then had better uniforms
This is another card that I simply don’t remember at all. I loved subsets, and Pinnacle had some good ones. I was just thinking about running through a decade of cards of a player to show the aging progression, but don’t know if it would work. This gives me a little hope.
 Speaking of uniforms
Now, you may be wondering about that jersey. This may not be as iconic as the #12 jersey on the Sam Bowie card that Michael Jordan wore, but this is still pretty cool. It seems, according to the back, Gwynn decided to wear Scott Sanders’ jersey during a spring training game for whatever reason. More guys should do that.
 Probably only a single
I loved Triple Play. Heck, I think I just loved anything with the black border. I always wanted the silver names to be a scratch-off game or something.
 That’s a triple smile
I was less familiar with the 1994 set, but even though it got away from the black, it’s still a good look. This set had some nice inserts as well, if I remember. But this card is the only one I needed for Tony Gwynn, and thanks to John he filled that hole in my binder!
There are still more empty spots to fill up and more cards from John that helped me do just that. I’ll be back to showcase more soon, but if you ever get a message or email from him, be sure to work out a deal. Thanks a lot!
It’s been a long time since I’ve watched any poker on TV. I used to watch semi-regularly in college when it was becoming a bigger thing and they had those celebrity poker tournaments on Bravo and whatnot. Then I moved on as the phase ended and went into baseball watching with that free time.
A couple months ago, for whatever reason I found the World Series of Poker on my screen and I got temporarily sucked in. Nothing against the people that do regularly enjoy that, but I’m not making it a habit.
But, it did get me thinking about the other kind of cards and how poker hands might be formed. There are probably a few different possibilities, but the easiest ones are the pairs and three/four of a kinds. Even with that, there are two paths. One is that you could do straight duplicates, but that’s not that fun. The other is to shuffle those parallels and deal them out.
Put on that card game face and let’s go to the river or whatever.
I have no idea what to say in the captions
Your basic refractor would represent your least favorite card suit. Technically worth the same but still lesser than.
 There goes the background
Checkerboards are for a different table top game.
These work better than they should
I thought of this idea before the new ROYGBIV thing, so I’m losing out on one of my Oranges to make my triple.
 Ugh, Brewers
We’re going to follow the same pattern for this set of three.
 Dos
The X fractor is less pronounced in the 2013 set, which is a shame because I can still see both Brewers.
 Triple threat
Yeah, I did it again and burned an orange. All for the greater good, I suppose, and as long as the cards get shown, that’s all that matters.
 Making that catch
The rule of threes and the goal of 9 scans or less per post says we need another set. Let’s start it off with a wall jump
 Third orange
The Cubs are going to miss his defense and improving bat while he’s out injured this last month. Hopefully we make the playoffs and he can contribute again there.
Need some more sparkle colors like this
This isn’t a Chrome card, but I’m still counting it, because I found it at the national (just like every other card in the post, of course) and it has the same picture. These red foils are great.
 Purples may be my favorite
Boom! Surprise! A sneak attack 4 of a kind! Good luck beating that hand!
Okay, now I have to figure out how a royal flush would work. Help me out if you have ideas.
My little vacation, paired with the Gint-A-Cuffs posts, have put me a little farther behind on this adventure. By the time this goes up, The Cubs will have played 140 games or so. That’s three more of these posts. With each passing day, the series inches away from me. I’m bound and determined to get keep this thing pretty current, so let’s play some ball and celebrate 6 more wins.
 The Prizm Prizm
Win #59 – Lester – 6.0 innings, 7 Ks, 1 Earned Run (it came at the top of the 7th and then he was pulled), 4 total hits, no walks and would up with a no decision.
 Coghlan for Bote still
Win #60 – David Bote – Making his second appearance in this series. 2-4 (he’s been hitting .326 in his various small stints with the team thus far), including a 2-Run homer in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game. Rizzo followed with the walk-off, but Bote made it happen first.
Quietly having the best year of his career potentially
Win #61 – Zobrist – 4-5, but only 1 RBI on a solo HR in the first to start the scoring. He also had a double.
Only makes sense to sub in Hammel for Hamels
Win #62 – Cole Hamels – The big pitching acquisition went 5 innings in his Cubs debut. It was a good one. 1 unearned run, 9 Ks, 2 walks, a pick off of Marte at first, and he got a single of his own in a blowout game that saw him hold a bat for the Cubs before he held a ball.
I might run out of Baez cards if he keeps this up
Win #63 – Baez – 2-3 on the day. His solo HR started the scoring, and he also managed a triple and a walk. Bote had a couple of key plays in the game, so it was a close decision.
Just needs to reduce the strikeouts some
Win #64 – Schwarber – 2-3. His solo HR started the scoring (a theme in this stretch of ten), and he also had a double on a very close play.
With all the crazy MLB trade activity going on in July and August, you hear about that infamous Player to be Named Later thing. It’s a very common tactic among clubs to say that they’ll test drive the main attraction for a month or two and then decide how much he’s actually worth.
Greg, otherwise known as Night Owl, is worth a lot to many of us. One of the reasons is because of the card packages he sends out. You know, that post title is a bit misleading because I actually didn’t know this bubble mailer was coming at all. However, I do know that he tells me that this is in exchange for the UD Documentary cards that I sent months ago.
I’m pretty sure that he already sent me cards for that, but I don’t specifically keep track of these things. Either way, I’m sure I owed him cards from something in the past. All I know is that I have had a little time to test drive these and assess how much they’re worth.
If anyone was going to send me a Dodger David, it was going to be Night Owl
I get excited over what others would consider small things. This David Ross would be a throwaway to a lot of people, but for some of the players I collect, one card makes a huge difference. An older card from that player (this is my oldest one so far) is even better as they actually become harder to find as years go on.
Perfect team name for this set
We’re going to skip a decade ahead for the next one in the package, but the “new”-ness of the card doesn’t make it any less appreciated.
Confused about the pitch he’s about to throw
Let’s continue the theme of showing players in their former teams. I know that there are a ton of Cubs collectors, so it makes sense that I’m getting a lot of non-Cub cards.
I miss Dexter, but I don’t miss the season he’s had
Like this one. I don’t mind one bit. Yes, there are some Cardinals cards that I’m actually happy to see.
 Look at that crowd
Last one from a different team. Until 2017, I didn’t have to worry about looking at Blue Jays cards, but between Montero and Coghlan, I have a few to chase. One less now!
Not just the border, the whole thing is black
My Contreras collection is very thin. He wasn’t the conventional top prospect with years of old Bowman cards before hitting the majors, so there’s a bit less to chase for the time being and a heavier price tag due to his breakout production. So, this mini is great to see on several fronts.
 I spot an “A” and a “G”
Here’s another player that doesn’t have a lot of cards to go after. These A&G minis will be some of the tougher ones, but thankfully here’s one less I need.
Thank you for putting the year in big numbers for me
Honestly, I think this mini is the biggest surprise in the surprise package. You can’t immediately tell from looking at the back, but this is the rookie card for Javy. Pretty amazing.
That bat has its own spray chart
I felt like ending on a bit of color, so here’s last year’s Fire in the form of a flame red parallel. It looks a little purple here, but that’s just because it’s a shiny red that doesn’t scan properly. I still need to make my way to Target to see if I can pick up some of the 2018 stuff.
One of the best things about trades is that both parties usually feel like they got a steal of a deal. I feel like I straight up robbed Greg here, and I didn’t actually do any work to make it happen. He just sent these unprompted.
The problem is that I don’t like feeling like I’ve robbed people, so that probably means I need to work on sneaking some goods into his vault now.
This is it. The last third. One hit within 8 packs and hopefully some other unknown treasures that will boost the score even more (updated total so far is 86). Let’s see some Cubs.
 Pack 17
Rodriguez Fantasy Goldmine (+2 insert)
I can’t say I care about Fantasy sports. Nor do I care about WAR. These cards also don’t illicit much care from me. The gold whatevers on the left deserve a vertical design. I also would like some gold foil, but that’s not really a Ginter thing. The font of the insert name is great, though.
Pack Total: +2
Running Total: +88
 Pack 18
Ramirez mini (+4 Black Border)
Trunk Bay (+2 insert)
My first black border mini of the box. I’m glad they started flair-ing those up a bit.
Pack Total: +6
Running Total: +94
 Pack 19
Evans (-1 because the Commissioner says so)
Judge (-1 for forgetting his hat)
Rivera mini (-1 for being the third retired Yankee that’s shown up in this set)
Cespedes (+2 insert)
Ouch, this was not a great stretch of three packs and my first negative scoring pack in the box.
Pack Total: -1
Running Total: +93
 Pack 20
Chapman mini (+3 Short Print Mini)
Baseball Sweater (+2 insert -1 for choosing the wrong player to show)
And once again the Yankees steal an insert point away from me. I’m missing my Cub representation here something fierce! At least I got an SP mini to counteract it a little bit.
Pack Total: +4
Running Total: +97
 Pack 21
Sandberg (+1 Favorite team)
Tommy Wiseau full sized relic (+5)
Longoria mini (+2 A&G back)
Wagner (+2 insert)
Okay, this pack made up for that negative one a bit. I got a Cub. A couple other scoring pieces and possibly the only non-baseball relic that I would have potentially wanted. I certainly am still open to trading or selling the thing (and I probably will), but still pretty cool to have as a movie fan.
Pack Total: +10
Running Total: +107
 Pack 22
Andujar (-1 For not being as popular as Torres)
Banks (+1 Favorite Team)
Frederickson mini (+4 Black border)
Vintage Cleats (+2 insert)
The 100 point mark has been broken with just a couple packs left to go. You know, I wish the baseball equipment set was larger. Topps is in the habit of making everything the same size with the same odds and that really ruins some of the fun.
Pack Total: +6
Running Total: +113
 Pack 23
Gray (-1 For being another Yankee I don’t know at all)
Larkin (+2 insert +2 Favorite Player List)
Winding down, but still somehow finding new Yankees to ruin things. Maybe next year I should claim them as my favorite team just to counteract the negative effects.
Pack Total: +3
Running Total: +116
 Pack 24
Ohtani (+2 Favorite Player List)
Lue (-1 to fulfill the Commissioner’s vendetta)
Ryu mini (+3 Short Print Mini)
Trition (+2 insert)
I never talked about the Moons, so I’ll do that in this last pack. It’s an okay concept, but the odds are far too common so they lose their appeal. Also the nature of moons make them less visually interesting as they lack color and like the beaches suffer from the photo effects. Other than that, it was a nice pack to end on. My second Ohtani and an SP mini I’m sure I can trade away easily.
Overall, my box was a success from a fun perspective and possibly in a money making perspective. From a contest perspective, I will assume no, but the fun is the most important anyway. Good luck to all contestants!
Pack Total: +6
Running Total: +122
Time to keep ripping along in our GAC adventure with the second of three parts. As a quick recap, I ended the first part with 36 known points and 2 unknown cards as the commissioner didn’t have points assigned to them yet (updated total is 45). Still, it’s time to keep on truckin’ as they say and open a few more packs in what will surely be a losing effort. Need more Cubs in these packs.
 Pack 9
Cochise mini (+2 mini insert +2 because the Commissioner says so =+4)
Mimas (+2 insert)
These Indigenous Heroes inserts are supposed to be 1:10 packs, but I’m pretty sure this was the only one in the box. I did get the mystery mini and the flag, so it’s evening out. Also pretty nice I got the one that was worth extra points.
Pack Total: +6
Running Total: +51
 Pack 10
Russell(+1 Favorite Team)
Nelson Cruz Home Run Challenge (+1)
Freeman World Talent (+2 insert)
The Home Run Challenge are on per box and I really wish it weren’t a cross-product thing. I with the whole contest was handled differently instead of picking a specific day for a specific player. I just miss Crash the Game and Predictors.
Pack Total: +4
Running Total: +55
 Pack 11
Hicks (-1 For being in the set even though I don’t know who he is)
Yugoslavia (+3 Flag mini)
Paradise Island (+2 beach insert)
A second flag in the box (1:50 odds, remember). The beaches are much more common and honestly, they’re just not my thing. They’re better than the natural wonders from last year if only because they lack a colored border. Beaches may be visually interesting in person, but it is tough to capture that in pictures with these photo effects tacked on top.
Pack Total: +4
Running Total: +59
 Pack 12
Contreras (+1 Favorite Team)
Mahle Framed Auto (+7)
Kaline (+2 Fantasy Goldmine insert)
Yay! A Cub! Oh, and an autograph. I’m afraid I don’t know much about the Reds rookie and I’m afraid I don’t feel much like looking him up. Still, it’s a pretty nice signature in a pack that is my new highest.
Pack Total: +10
Running Total: +69
 Pack 13
Henderson (-1 For not being in the right uniform)
Harper (+2 Favorite Player list)
Clemente Mini (+2 A&G Back)
Phobos (+2 Moon insert)
I’m getting some really good A&G backs in this box – Maddux, Ohtani and Clemente. Still too many Yankees. Sad, because I know Rickey is shown as an A in other cards in the set. Are we ready to debate where Harper will land next year?
Pack Total: +5
Running Total: +74
 Pack 14
Tanaka (+2 insert –1 For being part of an evil empire)
Another pack where I only get one scoring card, and the third time I’ve pulled a Yankee insert that halves my points. Boo!
Pack Total: +1
Running Total: +75
 Pack 15
Heyward (+1 Favorite Team)
Matsui (-1 For showing his retired ass on here)
Larkin (+2 Favorite Player list)
Pre-Game Meal (+3 Baseball Superstitions Insert)
Modern Baseball (+2 Equipment insert)
The baseball superstitions are probably my favorite mini insert of this year. You know there’s a Wade Boggs mention on the back without even looking. It pairs well with the equipment full size insert, but I wish the minis were a bit more common.
Pack Total: +7
Running Total: +82
 Pack 16
Wagner mini (+2 A&G Back)
Molina World Talent (+2 insert)
The last pack of this run gets me sort of close to the 100 point mark. I have no idea what a good score is going to be, but it seems like I’m doing alright. Not great, but alright. I still have one more hit to go, so all bets are off.
Pack Total: +4
